What's wrong with it

Panels dragging or scraping the sill

Usually carriers or rollers that have worn, sometimes a sill that has picked up debris, occasionally a header that has deflected. Which one it is decides whether this is an adjustment or a parts job, and that is what the first visit establishes.

A panel that won't latch

The stack has moved out of alignment. On most systems this is adjustable. On some it means a hardware replacement, and we'll tell you which before ordering anything.

Worn rollers or carriers

The part that does all the work on a folding wall. They're replaceable on most lines we carry — the question is whether the part is still made.

Water coming in at the sill

Sometimes a drainage path that has clogged, sometimes a seal that has failed, sometimes a sill that was the wrong choice for the exposure in the first place. We would rather tell you which than sell you a door. See sills and thresholds.

Handles, locks and hardware

Multipoint hardware on a folding wall takes more abuse than a normal door. Individual components are usually replaceable without touching the panels.

Screen not retracting

Cassette, spring or mesh, and they are different fixes. See retractable screens.

We service doors we didn't sell

Folding walls fail the same ways whether Accent installed them or not — rollers, latches, seals, and sills. If the system is identifiable and parts exist, we diagnose and repair. If a replacement is the only honest answer, we say that before you spend on a visit that cannot fix it.

Questions

Do you service bi-folds you didn't install?

Yes. If we can get parts and the door is worth fixing, we will say so after we see it — whether or not Accent sold the original wall.

What does a service call cost?

We quote the visit after photos or a short call so you know what you are authorizing. Some jobs finish on the first trip; others need a diagnostic visit, parts ordered, then a return. Labor and parts are itemized before we proceed.

Can you get parts for a discontinued door?

Often yes through manufacturer channels or compatible hardware. When a line is gone, we tell you whether a repair still makes sense or whether a panel or full replacement is the honest path.

My door leaks in heavy rain. Is that fixable, or do I need a new one?

Often fixable, and it's worth finding out before you spend on a replacement. A leak at the sill is usually a drainage path that has clogged, a seal that has failed, or a sill that was the wrong specification for that exposure. Only the third one points toward a new door, and we'll tell you honestly which one it is.

How soon can you come out?

We schedule service around current installs and parts lead times. Call with the symptom and your city — we give the next realistic visit window rather than a promise we cannot keep.

Do you service the screen too?

Yes — see retractable screens.
